Balancing Hormone & Female health

Balancing hormones is both an art and a science—it requires a deep understanding of how the body functions (science) while also adjusting to individual needs, lifestyle, and intuition (art). Like a well-composed symphony, every hormone must be in harmony for optimal health.

Women’s bodies change in cycles of seven years

In Traditional Chinese Medicine and holistic health, it is believed that women’s bodies change in cycles of seven years, with each phase bringing hormonal shifts that influence health, energy, and well-being.

  • Age 7 – Early childhood growth, baby teeth fall out, and the immune system strengthens.

  • Age 14 – Puberty begins, menstruation starts, and hormonal changes shape physical and emotional development.

  • Age 21 – Peak reproductive years, with strong metabolism, skin health, and vitality.

  • Age 28 – Hormonal balance is at its strongest, fertility is at its peak, and skin and hair are healthiest.

  • Age 35 – Subtle hormonal shifts begin; metabolism may slow, fertility gradually declines, and collagen production decreases.

  • Age 42 Signs of perimenopause may appear, with more noticeable hormone fluctuations, irregular cycles, and energy changes.

  • Age 49 – Menopause often begins, estrogen levels drop, and symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances may arise.

  • Age 56+ – Post-menopause, the body finds a new equilibrium, and focus shifts toward maintaining bone health, energy, and overall vitality.

Each 7-year cycle marks a natural transition, and supporting these changes with nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and holistic care can help women feel balanced at every stage
